tuesday: blues/turquoises

high five! i was sitting at my colleague's desk today tooling around as i usually do and as i looked up and to my right i found myself staring at all the 'things' posted to her bulletin board. it was like a shrine of all things special to her. there were notes from her children and of course i noticed the bright blues and turquoises of the drawing of a fingerpainted hand. her little boy made her a calendar and July featured this beautiful little boys hand dipped in just the right mix of sought out colors: blues and turquoises. what color do you associate blues/turquoises with?
~me a year ago minus the additional freckle and with much shorter hair.

mom, that big knot on my head from falling off my bike was because i collided bike-on with one of those stupid neighborhood boys, right? i am no chicken. i just took my blue/turquoise photo combined about an hour ago. it is a brilliant mix of both colors. i will not leave the turquoise behind and feeling lonely.

Grr... Why does everyone think that Blue is such a depressive color I think its a happy color one of the most happiest in fact! Blue is the color of the ocean we all came from! Blue is the color of the atmosphere we depend on! Blue is the color of life people! Respect it and enjoy its majesty… and why ow why is everyone forgetting turquoise! This color has fond memories for me, yes I used to have a bathing suit that was turquoise and it was the best bathing suit I’ve ever had, it was comfortable and very classy, not because of the fabric it was made from, not because of the name it was branded with, but because it was turquoise! Behold mighty turquoise and all it stands for! Truth and justice forget red, white and blue! Turquoise was the original patriotic color back when we all used to ride on the backs of turtles and wear turquoise underwear!
Our children will ask what happened to dignity the 21st century? What happened to hope in the 21st century? What happened to human rights in the 21st century? What happened to the basic rights and freedoms of all men in the 21st century? What happened to the constitution in the 21st century? What happened to the color turquoise man! What happened? Please remember our Turquoise amendment rights…
“We the people give every man/woman the right, the privilege and the honor to the color turquoise, without prejudice, without judgment and without fear! For as we set sail, we ask Gods blessing on the most hazardous and dangerous and greatest turquoise adventure upon which man has ever embarked”- U.S. Constitution

It's green day. Green is the color of my banker lamp's hat. Green is the color of the too long grass in my front yard. Green is the color of the official office check.

Green lighter.
Green candle.
Green picture frame that you gave to me (on my office mantle -- bet you didn't know that was there)
Green rectangle on the HP printer box.

Green is probably one of my favorite colors. Wednesday seems like a nice, life-giving green day.

PS - only one day left until VACATION!

Green viridian, a blue-green pigment, a hydrated chromium(III) oxide, of medium saturation and relatively dark in value. it is composed more of green than blue.
Green, i think of nature and how its not easy being Green.

Actually, Green viridian is of a medium to high saturation rather than just a "medium saturation" like you had suggested. It is relatively dark in value however through fractional crystallization the value can become lighter. I learned this when getting my doctorate in chemistry at Harvard and I would like to be referred to as pseudo Doctor Steven P.H.D, M.D. from now on thank you :P xo

oh smack. you went there. did you know that i have royal blood in me. i have traced my lineage back to the royal soupmakers of Egypt. a long line of chefs who were loved by all for having mastered soup nirvana. -- as a little girl, i always believed in this story. i would build forts in my parents home that turned into castles. and ask MOM to bring me some DAMN soup. hehe... (just kidding about the demanding part)

this wannabe princess turned into a chemist and later on in life she turned into a hotel pumpkin.

SN, you should get an Art degree. he he. as a pseudo Doctor P.H.D, M.D the texting would have to be dramatically reduced and i don't think i'd be okay with that. xo

I shall speak only to explain my extensive knowledge of viridian and to correct that babbling fool P-Dr. Steven P.H.D./M.D., in stating that viridian is NOT subject to the laws of fractional crystallization due to the crystal system being likely hexagonal as deemed foreseeable by it's rather simple formula: Cr2O3x2 H2O. The Latin root word; Viridis, meaning green of course, doesn't necessarily suggest that Viridian is distinguished microscopically by its large particle size. Its particles are slightly rounded and the pigment is insoluble and unchanged in chemical tests. I know this because I once painted a landscape using my own lab made viridian base. You may be familiar with the galleria that features my viridian works...a little place called the Schack gallery in Munich. That's right, I no longer paint with Cerulean as we had a falling out shortly after my tenure as chief of medicine at Stanford Universities health sciences department, but that's a whole other story.

Rev. Dr. AB Esquire, attorney-at-law.
