its mid-july and i'm in layers -- LaYeRs! crazy. and thanks sharon for the smile and sunflower greetings! ;) i saw a bumper sticker the other day that read ' you measure democracy by the freedom it gives its dissidents [nonconformists], not the freedom it gives its assimiliated conformists.' we went for a very, long walk last night uncovering, metaphorically speaking, every nook and cranny (sp?) on our path. finally, i had it -- i was being attacked by mosquitoes -- but not like that one night in the alaskan tundra... so i'm in love with champagne pear dressing made by trader joe's and newman's pineapple salsa! in other news, i'm hoping raven's paw recovers soon. j. wrote me 'kitties get bumps and bruises like the rest of us.' so, i'm trying not to let my heart get the best of me everytime i hear raven meow in pain ~ :( last night i fell asleep with the book in hand ' cherries in the snow.'
new word of the day -- but no such happy marriage could now teach the admiring multitude what connubial felicity really was. -- jane austen, pride and prejudice. connubial \kuh-NOO-bee-ul; -NYOO-\, adjective: of or pertaining to marriage, or the marriage state; conjugal; nuptial. livestrongchallenge july 30th, 2006 -- lance is coming...
and here's that song girls --
why do you build me up (build me up)
buttercup baby just to
let me down (let me down)
and mess me around
and then worst of all (worst of all)
you never call baby
when you say you will (say you will)
but i love you still
i need you (i need you)
more than anyone darlin'
you know that i have from the start
so build me up (Build me up)
buttercup
don't break my heart
[it goes on but you get the jist]
ooh ooh ooh
why do build me up .....
