my ride into work -- i'm waiting on the portland streetcar and this nice looking guy strikes conversation with me and says 'do you have any floss on you -- i have a dentist appointment and was hoping to floss beforehand.' i looked at him and said 'no, i don't carry floss on me.' we then burst out into laughter because it was just such a random and funny question!
so i think its humorous to see myself working through my emotions of sad to angry to elated i’m no longer stuck in a bad and unhealthy relationship. i can keep myself entertained for days on end. my ‘childish enthusiasm’ for life is still fully intact. after meeting m’s hubby last night after work, i watched the movie [lots of feel good crying going on] under the tuscan sun with diane lane. one scene goes something like this: ‘it won’t kill you. it should but when someone promises you but then you think – you must have known but then the fear kicks in – and then love becomes blind.’ its true! i've passed the i don’t want to be blind anymore and i am sick of being afraid phase. like the taco commercial -- i'm good to go. if anything, what is truly essential in life is a home that protects you from the adventure. i have found my home. and someone dear just wrote me – take hold of this time in our lives where we can do anything we want, go anywhere we want, buy anything we want, and so on. we are at our most productive when we are single. we have no demands on us except the ones we place on ourselves. and always know -- i love you mom and papa SO very much! and here’s to all my new-found friends in p-town. you guys rock! and another wonderful photo from sharon:::
here's a response from one of the apartments i requested more information on -- read it in its entirety -- is some funny shhhhhhhhhhh&t:
please feel free to drive by. i hope to show it in open house format
this weekend. before that i will try to send some pictures. if you
cannot come or send someone this weekend i will try to make
arrangements. i know this is competitive but i would like to look at
everyone. i also take inducements and gratuities.
apartment is small, i don't know sqft, but i'm not sure bedroom fits
a queen. i don't encourage couples to rent these small apts as they
have a history of breaking up.
yard is large and private but i do not accept dogs and if i did, they
could not be left unattended in the fenced area. there is a resident
house cat and another cat so yours would have to deal with them .
they must be fixed.
there is no offstreet parking and on street is crowded. the community
needs a "Recycling Nazi".
