renting a car for the weekend to fetch me some mo' crab in old oregon. astoria has been called the "little san francisco of the pacific northwest." ...and i just discovered a new term for a gathering: an evening crop [sounds like a bunch of crap to me] LAUGH ON LAUGH ON...

drive another 15 miles and the reason why my photo images are not as crisp as i would like them to be is because i'm shooting them on the 'small' setting [for purposes of emailing and posting is what the guidebook recommends]. and someone wrote me today with "you are having such fun in Portland. that's great! i think you are the type who will make a happy life for yourself no matter where you go'. hmmmmmmm... i have always said no matter where you go there you are. i looked the saying up and related it more to when i use 'to play the game diablo on my PC. in the game there is an abundance of different springs and wells. one of these such wells teleports you approx 50 ft from the well, and the quote, "where ever you go, there you are." appears on the screen for 4 seconds.'
