lover of knee high socks

Two days have now passed since my '27th' birthday and I'm ready to keep on chugging along, back to the grind and daily routine. Sigh... It was yet another beautiful birthday and this year I extended the festivities over 5 days instead of one. muahahahahahahaha... I received so many beautiful and thoughtful gifts - my favorite, knee high socks, a beautiful diamond necklace, a red velvet cupcake, a tiny oregon button, a bottle of Erath wine and wine stopper, a book and then another pair of knee high socks! ;) Our weekend trip to Seattle was all romance and go-go-go walking everywhere till we couldn't walk anymore. On Monday, my actual b-day, I heard from so many of my friends who all surprised me with their news such as one announced her pregnancy, another has a boyfriend, my cousin had twin boys and another good friend had her baby on my birthday... it was just one of those eventful kind of days along with a heart to heart conversation about fixin' things that needed a good fixin'. Now fast forward to today and I'm sitting here at my desk staring at the most beautiful roses given to me by my family; a beautiful mix of white and red roses. Life is good.

Dom made me my favorite too, Dom's Always Sunny Pasta Salad!

Ingredients:
1 cup cork screw pasta
1 cup Orzo pasta
1/4 yellow bell pepper: chopped
1/4 red bell pepper: chopped
1/4 red onion: chopped
one can whole black olives
half can artichoke hearts (cut in half)
1/2 cup low fat feta cheese

Choice of Italian dressing or low fat balsamic vinaigrette.
Salt to taste

Directions:
Boil cork screw and orzo pasta in about 6 cups of water for 10-12
minutes. Drain, and rinse with cold water. Chop all veggies, put in a
bowl with cooked pasta. Add dressing, cheese, and salt to taste. Chill
for about an hour. Enjoy!
