Celebrating green cards, birthdays and everything else in between!

So its been 4 days since my last entry.  Sorry to keep you all waiting?  What all has happened you might ask yourself (or not)?  Well, I never got around to baking a fish shaped cake and ended up buying jumbo size Pearl flavored cupcakes from Cupcake Jones. We celebrated Steven's birthday with Alex&Linds on Friday night at our place... O happy Day!  The rest of the weekend was full of movie watching - 12 monkeys, reservoir dogs, fear and loathing in las vegas and another movie that I've already forgotten the name of it. On Sunday, Steven and I dined at Todai. Now I remember why I hate buffet places so much. They fill you up to the rim leaving you feel weighted down like a creature that can't swim anymore in the deep blue sea.  Or its like hearing a voice in your head saying I sunk your battleship!  I had over 4 plates full of seafood, sushi and bowl after bowl of miso soup!

So both sets of parents are coming in March and April. Where would you take your parents if they visited you? Here are some ideas I've already received:
1. Take them to the museum of how the settlers came to Oregon located in Oregon City: End of the Oregon Trail Interpretive Center-
2. Tillamook Cheese Farm near the coast
3. Yacht tour of Portland - The Portland Spirit
4. Rent bikes and ride the Spring water Corridor. Of course you and Steven already have bikes but the rentals are near where you guys live
5. Visit Pittock Mansion. If it is a clear and non rainy day, have a picnic
6. A day of tax free shopping. My parents loved that!
7. Underground walking tour downtown
8. Take your mom one day to get a foot massage and pedicures. Steven can spend a little time at the Pub with Dad and playing darts! Or, you and mom can do the Russian bath house (some of my friends did this for New years eve and it was fun) You can wear a bathing suit!
9. Ride the Tram across Willamette
10. Best of all: Show them Multnomah village, we have pubs, wine bars, restaurants, and cute shops
11. What about St. Helens in april - depending on the weather.
12. You could hit the waterfall/scenic tour on the way to mt hood.
13. Wine tasting in hood river.
14. What about a brewery tour???
15. Portland walking tour of course would be fun! The epicurean ones are super cool.
