Natty ...greetings from Boise
hopefully you had a great season in the snow and snowboarding is getting better and better each time. Looks like winter is hanging on firmly this year with snow still in the foothills and skiing conditions as good as ever. I am looking forward to spring though. Enjoy your journey to the coast. if it isn't sunny maybe it will be nice and stormy and the waves will explode onto the rocks which is also great.
I will do some Friday challenge research tonight...

Friday Challenge (my boss sends these out weekly)

As promised something in the health arena.

A human can contract Leprosy from two sources. One is another human that has the disease. What is the other source where humans are at risk of contracting this disease?

my response...which may not be published in the journal of Science any time soon...

The leprosy bacterium is carried by two primary sources, one of which is the human. Less know is the fact that the bacterium finds a hospitable environment in cheap beer and is therefore found in excessive amounts in dive bars, NASCAR tracks, and hockey arenas throughout the world. Cheap beer provides a perfect environment for the metabolism, growth, and reproduction of these microorganisms. This is due to the large scale industrial brewing methods coupled with cheap ingredients. Luckily the consumption of these beverages is a generational tradition and most humans that regularly indulge excessively build up some immunity. The effects on these people is often vomiting and a throbbing headache approximately 6-10 hours after consumption. Typically the body has purged itself and recovered within 24 hours of being infected. For unknown reasons, symptoms can also result from over-indulgance of most beers regardless of their quality. More research needs to be done. It's Friday.
