its Day 10 of 2008. what have you done so far with the year? the local Portland blog posted an entry the other day, click here..., about how do you keep yourself busy during the Rainy winter days. its dark when i walk to work and its dark when i leave the office for home in the pm. Day 10 gave me some new sense of hope: i saw the blue sky that gave way for 10 minutes this afternoon.
Today starts the once-a-year Familiarization trip in Portland, Oregon. the hotel i work for is hosting all the meeting planners that were invited to our Fine city to wine and dine them. i have been involved in many trips/events such as this one and appreciate the work that goes into pulling such events off. it amazes me each and everytime how so many little things need to still be done the day of the event. and it will never change regardless how well you try to plan an event and get everything clearly taken care of before everyone arrives, there are so many changes and revisions and additions and all the other situations that arise that you didn't even take into consideration. all in all, i sell the City of Portland, Oregon! how cool is that! peace out. ***the game WII is a bit gay***
