a green rainy Sunday

we set out on our adventure to Forest Park armed with only a camera, a packed lunch and Moonstruck mochas. the rain came down just as we entered the forest enabling us to evade the rain momentarily. ...i said momentarily because as we entered the clearing by the Resovoir the rain danced on our heads ever so lightly. steven didn't mind all the rain droplets because he found the patterns on the water surface beautiful, which created an onslaught of photo-taking. it took me a while but i was able to drag steven away from his Resovoir fixation and we headed for the Rose Garden that's when the heavens truly opened unleashing the full torrent of flood water. we found shelter right outside the Rose Garden Gift Shop where we ate our lunch. cold, wet and no longer hungry we headed back down the mountain towards home where we later on watched a cheesy movie with Jen&Greg.
