covered by a knitted hat given to him by a friend from Chile steven wanted desparately to scare young children off the slopes.
sitting in the back of marguerite and chris' subura ready to test out our 'skills&techniques' on the mountain.
dazzlingly beautiful but little did we know that tonight would turn into the coldest night in four years. today accounted for what was still yet to come - more blistering cold weather.
renting snowboard equipment is for the birds.
the starting point.
little did i know that steven already shredded his gloves via the rope tow. how does one do that? he he...
the pinnacle of mt. hood is a whopping 11,249 feet. timberline lodge sits right around 4,000 feet and they had to close their lifts today due to the gusty winds. all lifts were running normal at skibowl. lucky for us.
practice makes perfect, marguerite and chris taking on the mountain.
red is the new black!
pre-heading up a real lift and pre-marguerite's accidentay. this photo depicts the microcosm of our day away from the Big City.
doesn't the mask remind you of that crazy bird from the Saw movies...
coming down...
carving and weaving through the douglas firs...
just remember i snowboard better than you do...
who loves to carve down the mountain too... around this time in the day Chris called to let us know that Marguerite had injured her elbow and an ambulance was about to take her to the nearest hospital. it was time for us to head back.
i'm going pro as soon as i buy a board and a helmet.
this is the look of a man fraught with worry for his wife who dislocated her elbow earlier in the day. we hope for a speedy recovery Marguerite!~

Kool pictures and it seems a great day on the snow.
Hope Maguerite is alright and give her my best wishes!
The red hat is awsome, I hope is did not itch.
his hat kept him toasty warm that's fo sure. but it was funny to see icicyles hanging from his knitted nose from time to time... the Knitter in me says its High Time i knitty some more items ASAP. of which are a hat for me to cover my face when snowboarding, a hat that says 'save the dolphins or whales' and finish Jasmine's scarf.
