it was definately a Busy Christmas for me this year. so busy i didn't even have time to buy Christmas presents and send any cards, e-mails, etc. to all my loved ones who live o' so far, far away. i decided this year to spend Christmas in Portland with my boyfriend and friends. instead of a Christmas tree i bought a poinsetta (which is on its last leg and looking a little Hoo like), instead of giving gifts food seemed to be its replacement, instead of waking up at the crack of dawn sleeping in was the highlight of the day, instead of wet weather we received a Christmas miracle in that it snowed all morning long and instead of being my usual gots-to-be-doing a million things at once i vegged out while watching figure skating ice shows on TV. Christmas is a time when you think of all the things in your life and appreciate all of these things. you think about love and that i'm surrounded by good people and those people come from such loving families too! instead of going snowboarding with Marguerite and Chris on Christmas Day, Steven and i made a Turkey with all the trimmings, roasted potatoes, sweet carrots with nutmeg, brussel sprouts and gravy. it Turned OUT delicious! we had our Christmas Turkey with my next door neighbors Lindsay and Alex. Talk about feeling like a Sleepyhead after eating so much food. and even today, the day after Christmas, i feel like the world's biggest Sleepyhead. and New Year's is Just Around the Corner.
