'we could all use a little more shinyhappy people'

i am about to JUMP - JUMP right out of my skin with JOY. great minds think alike and HAPPY is I doesn't even explain how happy one can be. a while back, my boyfriend and I walked all over downtown Portland one night planting little flags of our own creation: click here for a visual and today's hulaSeventy post was all about a similar reinactment of entertaining the city with random kinds of art.

one of my colleague’s (thanks renner) purchased a poem from the guy in a wheelchair who sells his poetry at the Wednesday Farmers Market in the SW Bark Blocks. i sent this to the author of HulaSeventy since it made me think of her.

The Hula

To dance the hula you need a Lai
A song to sing, and guitars to play.
So here’s your sarong-Helen-the music’s ready
Dance with joyful rhythm, slow, warm and steady.
