i love bumping into people. new ones that is. they are all over the place. in stores, in restaurants, at pubs, you name it! and with each encounter they have something to say. all of these people, all of these thoughts, and where are they all going? hmmmm... i find the human mind and how people think quite intriguing! but then again, its nice to be on my own because that is when there is Silence. And silence is Golden. xo

new word. five thousand Portlanders pedal to work every day (I walk), so the bike lanes are sacrosanct, as is the lane for skateboards and inline skates. sacrosanct means very holy; inviolable.

and mom, i received your snail mail. i loved the article on portland that was featured in The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. you've been to many of the places mentioned in the article already!!! i've been to Urbane Wineworks and love what they wrote about them ...like a chemistry class gone off the rails, the blending involves beakers and syringes, with guests tinkering with merlots and cabernets like mad scientists...

- much love from your little mad scientist living it UP in Portland, Oregon
