natty,
Go see the movie 'Once' I really really liked it. It is one of those flicks you go to and are really surprised how well done it is. It was very cute. I have a confession...it made me cry.
modern to me describes something ephemeral as opposed to the classic, but often results in retro movements as people try to develope/discover their style. MR
Most awesome weekend, thanks. On Friday, we helped stuff registration packets for Paddle Georgia. We got on the river at about 6:30 a.m. and paddled the rapids. I wiped out on the Class III, but it was so much fun (and a little scary). There were all types and colors of boats lined up for the day's paddle -- would have made a good picture for your blog.
On Saturday afternoon, I took folks on a walking tour that features local art and artists. The highlight was the wildlife photography at the funeral home! Then we had a reception for folks featuring locally made or produced foods. I had some of my homemade cheese and ice cream.
Anyway, it was loads of fun, and I'm ready to get back on the river and try to get through that rapid without tipping over. It's tricky!

Metal. Clean lines. Bold, yet muted colors.

Modern as apposed to old or ancient? Well to me modern is a new ideal, a fresh way to see life.
