tonight, i attended a complimentary evening of food and wine at vino paradiso owned by timothy nishimoto a vocalist at pink martini with his business partner. its a wine bar & bistro. they are all about pairing wines, live music and art. and, as usual, i learned something new this evening. when i heard the term 'wine flight,' i was like 'huh?' a wine bar offers flights of wines and spirits for you to compare and contrast. with wine flights, you receive two ounces of three different—yet related—wines, along with a quick explanation of each so that you can enjoy the distinct nuances of the wines side by side. the zine Just Out wrote about vino paradiso "if looks could kill, this wine bar would be an uzi." well, at least it was funny to rees. cheers!

sometimes, resting is the best remedy. its NOT healty to work as much as we do. ;) it burns me out. good thing i have 40 hours of paid time off accrued.
