last night, while zooming around town in Kristina’s car, we stopped by trader joe’s to pick up cat litter and cat food for both King Raven and Queen Shiva. as we walked up to the cashier, he looked at us, now, imagine both of us have cat litter and food stacked high in both arms, and the first thing that came out of his mouth was ‘are you guys doing some kind of experiment.’ i busted out laughing; kristina kept her cool.

some interesting things i read about last night are:

olive oils’ distinct flavors depend partly on their individual terroir -- regions where olives belong to a specific appellation and share the same soil type and weather conditions.

bossa nova, original acai juice with agave, nature’s highest antioxidant fruit

artichokes, these members are part of the thistle family

biodynamic wines, prohibit the addition of yeast, enzymes or tannins and prohibit oaking and chappalization to manipulate acid and sugar levels.

Agave, olives, wine . . . are you hungry? Eating at the desk today -- got a lot of things to check of my daily task list, so I'm keeping my nose to the grindstone.

The weather is lovely here. We have a bunch of hairy vetch growing all over the fields -- that and clover. I feel our grasses are quite promising for purposes of future livestock grazing.

vetch? what is that?

It's a legumenous (sp?) grass that fixes nitrogen in the soil. It resembles mimosa or locust, other such plants.

its beautiful here too! and i have my herbs out on my balcony. i need to have jen help me pot them? i don't have a green thumb so i need help, always, in that department. :)

i stopped by jen's work and picked up some swatches (or whatever they're called) to figure out what color to paint my living room in. i think i'm going with the color 'green tea.'

i need to find a ride to hood meadows this weekend. know anybody?

marguerite rushed to the ER this morning. she had a panic attack and couldn't breath. can you imagine? she is doing aokay now but still, its frightening...
