to get started with knitting, check out the following videos here. and knitting soothes the soul. i know i've had my hardships but nothing compared to what the author of the knitting circle went through. in the end, she says 'despite the horrible loss of grace, i think i'm happy and lucky.' but not a day passes that she doesn't think about grace. 'it's not something you ever get over. it's just something you live with, and you learn how to do that.'
