OMG, that "unexpected something extra"just happened to me. just, very good news. plus, one of my colleagues just returned from a trip to canada and on my desk was a little souvenir: a bottle of maple syrup, product du canada.

What is the something extra special? One year in Oregon, in the spring, for about three months, it would sprinkle all day, and then black clouds would roll in, and then it would weird-hail or something for thirty minutes, and then it would sort of clear up. It never stuck or anything. And I don't know if it was supposed to be sleet or hail or what.
