scarf season here!

so what is facebook.com. some sort of knock up off myspace.com? just got wind of this one. not interested because myspace isn't really my cup of tea either. i stick around for rami & jasmine. and its true - everything about these sites is a scream for attention. look at me! the web seems to be morphing into something grander and stranger than anyone expected - mass exhibitionism at its best! my blog is real to me. i know who reads it and its my way of keeping the communication channels open. the test is, before you put something online, ask yourself if you would be comfortable shouting it around your family. if the answer is no, then don't put it up. yet, there is a small part of me that wants to be seen and heard. anyways, i plunge forward with my body armor on and give you an article on Portland. my favorite city in the whole wide world!

"McCartin notes that the Doubletree property was recently certified by Green Seal, an independent nonprofit organization that evaluates the environmental impact of products in a variety of industries. Just across the river in downtown Portland, the city's two other major conference hotels, the 782-room Hilton Portland and Executive Tower and the 503-room Portland Marriott Downtown Waterfront, are currently completing steps to achieve Green Seal certification, McCartin adds. The Hilton and Marriott properties offer 66,000 and 20,000 square feet of meeting space, respectively."

You must really like reading The Week. Me too. So I'm looking forward to my new scarf . . . or hat. Anything in the works? Weather is warm and nice. Evenings are pleasant. Everybody is kung fu fighting.

funny -- did you notice some plagarism going on! good catch! yes, i shall KNIT you something soon...

Those cats were fast as lightning
In fact it was a little bit frightning But they fought with expert timing

They were funky China men from funky Chinatown
They were chopping them up and they were chopping them down
It's an ancient Chineese art and everybody knew their part
From a feint into a slip, and kicking from the hip

Everybody was kung-fu fighting
Those cats were fast as lightning
In fact it was a little bit frightning But they fought with expert timing

There was funky Billy Chin and little Sammy Chung
He said here comes the big boss, lets get it on
We took a bow and made a stand, started swinging with the hand
The sudden motion made me skip now we're into a brand knew trip

Everybody was kung-fu fighting
Those cats were fast as lightning
In fact it was a little bit frightning
But they did it with expert timing
