a refresher: the Venn diagram. i agree with the writer of the last book i just finished reading, "...everything we are is somehow a product of family." one of group questions was 'what does the title mean? what "accidents" happen, and do you agree that they are accidents? of course, my answer is you 'control' your next steps and if you are with a sound mind, you already know the product of your actions may they be a 'happy' or 'sad' accident(s). its unfortunate, that a by-product of the weak may offspring what i like to call being unfaithful to yourself and to another human being. to me, it causes undo strain on the human spirit. anyways, what do i know... and out of the blue something "uninternety" appears, OFFLINEonline.org: "sifts through the world wide web to provide commentary on sites, ideas, and trends we find informative and entertaining. that said, its just a low-budget entertainment magazine about the internet."

and the definition of an accident is something going wrong. so, what would the word be for
something going right?

An accident is something that occurs without fault or cause -- something that happens on purpose or with fault, then, is its opposite or antonym. But what is that word?

Perhaps "plan" or "intention"?

An accident usually has a negative context behind it, however there are positive accidents as well. Like accidently opening a closet filled with gold pieces or accidently choosing the wrong Lottery numbers because you wrote them down wrong...and still winning. HL wrote "without fault or cause" which is more than likely the clearest defenition.

an accident is 1. literally, a befalling; an event that takes place without one's foresight or expectation; an undesigned, sudden, and unexpected event; chance; contingency; often, an undesigned and unforeseen occurrence of an afflictive or unfortunate character; a casualty; a mishap; as, to die by an accident.

an accident is something that goes wrong but why it goes wrong, is up to the situation, person or thing. right? so i'm thinking planned or intended is its opposite...

[in the book, family and other accidents, i don't think sleeping around constitues as an accident. do you?]

No, sleeping around is not an accident. Even if its a drunken make out with someone that is not an accident either. Infidelity is a choice, a guy and a girl just don't "accidently" start making love unless they are nudists and incredibly clumsy.

i'm still wrong... why an accident happens is sometimes effected by a persons' actions. the remaining are just purely accidental. okay... no more thought on this one
