the working girl [taken today] to buy more white and free ice cream
in the bleak of winter, the memory of the colors drew me back to the wooden box. inside were wrinkled seed packets of every flower imaginable, from poppies and sweet peas to sunflowers and dahlias – each stippled in earthy reds, yellows and greens. like obedient pupils, they sat upright in alphabetical order according to their scientific names, baring handwritten notes about each temperament. happiest in the shade. likes to be sung to. isn’t as fragile as she seems. ;)my walk into work this morning = lovely. not just me saying:
“portland is so green you could serve it as a side dish.” – outside
“can a place be too perfect?” – arthur frommer’s budget travel guide
and Safeway delivers tonite…
my favorite: upinthecloudsNatand i entered a photo of mine in a contest at work. can you guess which photo? was taken and posted in april.
