zaytoonbar :: arabic food and film night. crap, i missed a screening of the labyrinth. another yarn store which i need to hit. this town is chock full of shops and things to do. i've been here not even 5 months and i don't think i've seen much of this town. i'm going to check out a few afternoon shows at musicmillennium. and thinklocalportland. upcoming events: april 20th -- portland earth day -- walk, bike or ride tri met. i also attended a luncheon on thursday for the march of dimes. i am one of several 'captain oh my captain' at my work to help raise money AND WALK for the march of dimes. at the luncheon, they played a video of a woman who had to have an emergency c-section performed since her kidneys decided to fail on her. the baby was born premature but survived. its moments like that where i find myself extremely vulnerable yet touched. life is so fragile yet we are strong as human beings. we cling on till the very end. i, too, am happy that i have a few, good men/women who read my blog. i think of it as the i share, you share concept.
and i love my little dust ball! raven is my brand new cat [to me] but he's really 7 years old. he purrrrrr's like there is no tomorrow and will sit on my lap while i'm watching tv [or the likes]. he actually starts to [meow] right before my alarm radio goes off ~ good kitty...
i have nothing planned for today. ahhhhhhhhh...
