the hat project. status: complete. tools. 5.5mm circular needle, (1) ring marker, (1) tapestry needle. after knitting to size of head or if you prefer the lingo, happy how it feels on your head, thread yarn thru cast-on stitch, gather up tightly and hem under. small adorable hole shows desirable end result. decided against a pompom at top and made a 'work in the round' creation comprised of chain stitches (cs), slip stitch, repeat to every 3rd cs which made for a useable abstract flower motif applique. not bad for my first try at crochet. attached to brand, new hat (not scarf).
